What do I get with the USA Swimming Membership?

When you join USA Swimming, you become a member of USA Swimming, the North Dakota Local Swim Committee (LSC),  and your club.  Each USA Swimming club can choose which membership categories to offer. Not all clubs offer every membership type. Please check with your team to confirm the membership categories available to you.

USA Swimming now offers online membership registration and renewals with a unique registration link provided by your local club.

 

Each membership requires a USA Swimming fee and an LSC fee. The LSC fees help support local programming, training, and competition opportunities for athletes, coaches, and volunteers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)...

  1. When I am trying to renew my membership or my athletes membership we keep seeing "This membership is not offered at this time." Why is this happening?
    • Your Club has not selected that particular membership type for the current season
    • It is a seasonal membership and the registration start date is in the future
    • Your club is marked as "Inactive" for verisous reasons
    • If you or someone else already has their renewal sitting in a shopping cart waiting for checkout. This often happens if a child has two parents/gaurdians with accounts and one has started the renewal but never finished it.  A second parent would not be able to add the child's renewal since one renewal was already pending.
      • This should resolve itself after a few days, as we automatically clear unpaid registration cart items every few days.
    • If you have already renewed and do not realize it.
    • Your member record is marked as "Retired" or "Ineligible" (This is rare)
    • If there are cases where you cannot register, and none of these reasons seem to apply, please submit a ticket (click the submit a ticket button below) to the USA Swimming ticket system with their name, the club name and a description of what message they are seeing (if any), and USA Swimming will try to get them resolved as they come in.
  2. How Do I renew my membership?
    • Team Bulk Renews
      • Some teams within our LSC have opted in to renewal some or all of their membership types. Please check with your Club registration chair to determine if your club has opted in for Athlete or Non-Athlete Bulk Renewals.
    • Team Does not Bulk Renew
      • First you need to log into your USA Swimming Account
      • On that screen you should see your membership cards
      • Under those cards if it is after September 1 for the year when you click on Renew Memberships it should allow you to continue to go through the process to renew. However, if you click on the renew memerships and it indicates that non of your membership types are able to renew at this time. Your membership is already most likely renewed for that year or season.
